An Immersive Day of Ceremony, Breath, and Wild Food
Join us for a truly unique experience in the heart of Shropshire’s woodland — a full-day workshop combining transformational breathwork, a sacred Yawanawa Hape ceremony, and a three-course forest feast cooked over the fire.
This is a rare opportunity to connect deeply with yourself, the land, and ancient traditions brought directly from the Brazilian Amazon.
Breathwork with Pom Tutt
Start your jouney with a 2-hour guided breath work session led by the renowned Pom Tutt. Using techniques to release tension, restore balance, and re-centre, you’ll reconnect with your natural rhythm and the calm energy of the forest.
Sacred Hapé
Ceremony with the Yawanawa Tribe
Experience a powerful Hape circle guided by members of the Yawanawa tribe. Through song, chant, and ritual, this ceremony offers cleansing, grounding, and spiritual focus.
This is a rare chance to learn directly from indigenous wisdom and share in a sacred, heart-opening cultural exchange.
What is Hapé (Rapé)?
Hapé, also known as rapé (pronounced ‘haa-pay’), is a sacred shamanic snuff made by indigenous tribes of the Amazon basin. This shamanic snuff can be made with a variety of ingredients, which may include tobacco, medicinal plants, and ashes. It is used in ceremonies for spiritual connection and healing, helping to enhance spiritual practices and foster a deeper connection with nature. When crafted with tobacco, it often uses Nicotiana rustica or Nicotiana tabacum, depending on strength and preference. The tobacco is typically fermented, sun-dried, and then pounded into a fine powder along with other ingredients, such as ashes from medicinal or sacred plants, trees, and seeds.
Hapé is administered by blowing it into the nostrils using a pipe called a “Kuripe” for self-application or a “Tepi” if someone else administers it. The experience can be quite intense but is often used in ceremonies, meditation, and prayer to cleanse the mind, align spiritually, and release negativity.
